Welcome to KAOS:

We are a voluntary group set up and run by local artists to promote the visual arts in Kingston upon Thames.

Established in 2010 we are open to artists, sculptors, ceramicists and other crafts people living or working in or around Kingston.

We are currently a self funded group, aiming both to raise the profile of art in the community and sell our work. We are completely reliant on volunteers but have already made a mark on the visual arts scene in Kingston.

In 2010 we held our first exhibition in Kingston Market House, part of which was to make a giant painting with the help of the public. The aim was to remind people that art is for everyone, and can be great fun. The result is “Mark-it” a colourful picture of the town centre which has been donated to the Princess Alice Hospice.

We also held our first open studios, as part of the wider SAOS, artists open studio event in June, which was both fun and a huge success.

In September 15 KAOS members held an exhibition at Southfields Gallery, followed by a smaller one at Gallery 63a. In November we will be back at the Market House with the Kingston Fair Art Fair, bringing art to the public at really affordable prices.
